Hi, I’m Kathy Gibbs, owner of Ponder Place Retreat in Ponder, Texas. It has been a dream of mine for a long time to open a craft retreat house. I have been scrapping for more than 20 years, and loving every minute. Being creative and sharing time with friends are two of my favorite past times. I am married and I have eight grandchildren so preserving memories is a must for me. I also have four-legged friends who are quite photogenic.

Ponder Place Retreat, just outside of the Ponder city limits, is a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle and CREATE!

Arrangements include five comfortable guest rooms, a spacious kitchen plus eating area and an immense craft room. Mindfully decorated in a country chic style, our retreat provides a calming atmosphere so you can focus on your projects and enjoy your friends.

Every detail has been taken into consideration to provide the ultimate retreat experience.

We require a minimum of 10 people to book a private retreat at the price of $175.00 per person plus 8% hotel tax. For reservations by parties with 13 people or more, the price decreases to $150 per person plus 8% hotel tax.

Retreats begin on Thursday at 10am and go through Sunday at 3pm. You have the option to begin your retreat on Wednesday for an additional $40 per person.

Guest Cancellations
Full or partial* reservation cancellations greater than 120 days prior to your arrival date are eligible for a full refund of any money paid towards the reservation. Full or partial reservation cancellations between 120-46 days of your arrival date are eligible for a full refund of any money paid towards the reservation minus a 25% cancellation fee per person being cancelled (based on the billed rate per person), or the total deposit paid, whichever is greater. Full or partial reservation cancellations within 45 days of your arrival date will result in no refund given and full balance due immediately.

Owner Cancellations
Should a reservation be cancelled by us, due to no fault of our own (flood, earthquake, hurricane, etc.), your reservation and any monies paid will be deferred to another weekend of your choice within the following two years. Should a reservation be cancelled by us, by our own choice, and you do not wish to reschedule, all monies paid will be refunded in full.

*A partial reservation cancellation is defined as one or more guests being removed from an existing reservation.
